Our little man is here!!

Luke was born July 9, about a week and a half early!  We were definitely caught a bit off guard and did the whole frantic ride to the hospital.  Luckily I got there in time for the epidural (hallelujah!!) and from then on it was amazingly easy!  I only had to push about 10 times and he was here!  We checked into the hospital at 3:15 and he was born by 8:50, can't complain there!  We had one of the NICU nurses who was in the room when Katelyn was born there to make sure Luke was ok and did not have any complications.  I can't even express how happy I was to hear that he was healthy and I would get to just hold him as long as I wanted.

One happy mamma!!

The new fam of 4

Katelyn was immediately interested in her new baby brother.  She just wanted to keep touching him, the whole time saying "baby!"

She's in love!

Our friends came over with a new baby doll and stroller for Katelyn.  She was THRILLED (as you can clearly see in this picture!)

He's such a good sleeper so far (knock on wood!)  I'm loving this early newborn phase that we missed while in the hospital with Kate.  He's just so sleepy and sweet!

We are so in love with our little guy!

My little gymnast!

Katelyn had her very first gymnastics class today.  She had so much fun!  Steve did most of the physical things with her while I waddled around taking pictures.

They start off with fun stretches in a circle which Katelyn mostly sat and watched everyone else do.  I think the parents got more out of the stretching session than the kiddos!

Then the kids all move around in an circular obstacle course playing...i mean...developing strong gymnastic skills....on all kinds of fun (and soft) equipment.  Katelyn had fun on this pad because it was really bouncy and squishy.

We have one of these at home so she was a pro at this one!

Not so much the bars though...we'll have to work on this one more!

The best part was the big "foam pool".  The first time she got in it she cried, but once she saw all the other kids (and daddy) jumping in, she became fearless and loved it!  We couldn't keep her away!
