Easter

For Easter weekend we went up to Rocklin, CA where Steve's sister Kelly and her family live.  We always have so much fun visiting them, it was a great weekend!

The kids had fun decorating Easter eggs.

They live across the street from a beautiful park.  Katelyn and Tucker loved it!

Auntie Kelly gave Katelyn a haircut.  She wasn't too thrilled with the process until Uncle Todd gave her a sucker afterwards!

Hunting for Easter Eggs!!  Cousins Patrick and Matthew had fun hunting for eggs.  Kate followed their lead, and found 5 all by herself!  Once she realized there were goodies inside, she became more interested in opening them up than finding more!

The weather had been pretty chilly, but the sun finally showed up and it got warmer during the egg hunt so Kate got to wear her Easter dress!

This was her favorite egg because it had goldfish inside!

We got to meet cousin Asher for the first time, what a cutie!

Aunt Barb made everyone yummy Easter cupcakes...Katelyn thoroughly enjoyed it!

So did Uncle Todd!

Thanks Preece and Davis families for a fabulous Easter!

Pismo Beach

We were itching to get out of town, so the first day of Spring Break we took off to the beach.  It was Katelyn's first time really experiencing the water and I was so shocked at how much she loved it!  I thought she would be timid and kind of scared of the waves but we literally had to hold her back, she just wanted to charge right in!

She loved playing with the sand.  We somehow managed to keep the amount consumed to a minimum!

These are the only sunglasses she will keep on.

Looks like we will be doing beach trips a bunch this summer!

A few highlights this week...

1.  A few of the neighbors got together for a combined garage sale on Saturday.  We really didn't have a lot to contribute (...ok well I'm sure I could have found a lot if I actually took the time to look) but we brought a few things over to sell.  We made a whopping EIGHT dollars!  This is Kate all bundled up because it was so cold that morning.

2.  Steve is such an amazing dad, I have no idea what parenting would be like without such a willingly helpful, genuinely interested and supportive partner by my side.  I never get tired of watching them together and I always find myself running to grab the camera because they are sharing another "moment" together!  Here she is helping him trim the tree and just chillin in the backyard together after work.

3.  I got a crafty itch this week and tried making Kate some bows (for the first time...procrastinated a bit on that one!)  I love how they turned out and they were SO easy!  I just followed the steps on Jones Design Company and was inspired by a few of my friends who had made these.

4.  I bought a few new pairs of spring PJs for Katelyn the other day.  I just can't resist PJs, they are my favorite!  One of them came with a t-shirt that says "big sister"....now how could I pass that up?!

5. Steve came home today with these beautiful flowers!

6. And on the same day my necklace I had ordered from The Rusted Chain arrived!  I have been wanting one of these for so long and finally got around to ordering one.  It came with two charms and we really tried to finalize our decision on baby boy's name so that he could already be included but just weren't sure yet...so I'll just add one on once he is here.

7.  Katelyn's favorite thing this week....riding Tucker!  She even holds on with one hand and bounces like he's running, its hilarious!  He's quite a trooper for putting up with it. (oh and this was right after her dinner which included black beans...can you tell?!)

8.  I should have done my homework a little better...I had no idea how hairy labs are.  I actually think he has a problem...

Baby Shower

Had such a great time this weekend in Paso Robles with all of my college friends!  Debra is having a baby girl in May so we all got together to help her celebrate.  It's amazing how we can all get back together and it just feels like no time has passed.  It was the first time we got all the kids together at once, and it was neat to see them all interact!  I think I heard them all making a pact to go to CalPoly together....

Katelyn had fun at Woodstock's with Riley, Sydney, and the dads.

The kiddos playing at Debra's

Our little ones!

The whole gang!  Katelyn is blocking Christa (sorry Christa!) while pointing at Debra and saying "mommy".  I guess we look alike Debra!

And back home to blog about our fun trip.  My little secretary comes in handy!
