Yard Work with Daddy

The sun came out and the weather got really nice today so Steve went out to do some yard work.  Katelyn joined him, she helped out holding the hose!

Happy Birthday Nana!

We had a fun weekend with Papa and Nana celebrating Nana's birthday.  Katelyn is especially fond of Papa and loves to say his name!  Her new favorite book is Curious George.  She says "dee-do" for George and likes to point him out on every page.

Papa and Nana just got back from a cruise to Hawaii.  They picked this up for Katelyn while they were there.  She has been wearing it over her clothes every day since!

Weekend Fun

We had a fun family weekend celebrating mom's birthday and making some wedding crafts!  We made crystal strings to hang on the manzanita branches.

Then we made a chalkboard sign for Shell and Zach's engagement pictures.  Thanks to Julie for the directions!  It turned out super cute!

It's a BOY!!

We found out today that we are having a BOY!  Steve took the day off work and all three of us went to the ultrasound.  I have to admit that I was surprised, I was kinda thinking a girl on this one (but I think that's just because I'm so used to all the girly-girly now!)  Katelyn was so cute, she just kept pointing at the screen saying "baby!"  I don't think it actually looked like a baby to her, but she kept hearing us say it.  We are thrilled!

Picture Day

Katelyn had her 16 month pictures today.  I can't believe how fast my baby is growing up.  She is not a fan of portrait studios at all, so we were lucky to get a few smiles in!  They don't release the ones that have been edited or enhanced, but we ordered the one of her smelling the flowers in black and white with only the flowers and her bow in color, it's my favorite!  

This face cracks me up!  "Do you really expect me to laugh at that silly feather toy?"

Steve's New Book

My amazingly talented husband has finished his second book and it is now published on the Kindle!  It is called If I Forget You, O Jerusalem.  This one is a sequence of historical fiction stories following the life of King David.  They are really interesting short stories that put a modern twist on King David's adventures.  Check it out on Amazon, it's only 99 cents!!

New Bedding!

I have been looking for new bedroom bedding for so long.  I was having a hard time finding something that incorporated the blue walls without overdoing the blue.  I finally found this set at Pottery Barn.  The big Euros are my favorite!  The same day I happened to run across the three canvases at Home Goods.  It's even more fun getting in bed every night now!

My Valentine

Katelyn had a fun Valentine's Day.  Daddy bought her the biggest balloon he could find!
